When people think of Broadway in Nashville, they often picture packed honky-tonks, long lines, and a rowdy weekend crowd. But here’s a little secret—Broadway during the week is just as exciting, and for many, it’s even better. With fewer crowds, top-tier live music, and a more laid-back vibe, weekday nights offer a chance to soak in the best of Nashville without the chaos. Whether you’re a visitor looking for a more relaxed experience or a local wanting to enjoy the city without the weekend madness, Broadway is the perfect place to be any night of the week.
The Perks of Visiting Broadway on a Weekday
Fewer Crowds, More Space to Enjoy
Whether you’re visiting for the first time or the fiftieth time, there are likely some legendary Broadway bars and venues on your list: Tootsies, Acme Feed & Seed, Jason Aldean’s Kitchen & Rooftop Bar, Dierks Bentlys’ Whiskey Row, Ole Red, Robert’s Western World and The Stage. However, on any given weekend day or night, there can be a line out the door with eager patrons waiting to gain entry.
Weekday visitors have the luxury of not only skipping a line, but smaller crowds means claiming a table so your party has a homebase. The odds of snagging a highly coveted seat, like a table on the rooftop at Tootsies, is very high! (On a weekend, guests are at the mercy of waiting and hovering; patrons can perch on these highly desirable for hours!)
A More “Local” Experience
Believe us–the atmosphere is still lively and fun on a weekday. There is live music seven days a week on Broadway, and less crowds means more room to cruise the dance floor without the weekend madness. Navigating the bar without a sea of people results in less wait times for fresher food and colder drinks.
Many service industry professionals will take advantage of their weekdays off to hit a less rowdy Broadway, making Mondays a more locals-like vibe. It’s not uncommon to run into an off-duty line dancer at The Stage who is bustin’ their moves for fun! You never know who you’ll run into!
If you’re looking for a weekend-feel on a weekday, Broadway still gets packed from Predator games, or when big city-wide conventions. Here is a live cam of Broadway to check out the crowds any time of day!
Better Service & Deals
With less crowded bars and restaurants comes happier, less-slammed bartenders and servers. With more time for better service, you won’t feel rushed to order or can use the opportunity to ask waitstaff for local recommendations or favorite experiences.
